LG Explained.JPG

Different Distances. Different Velocities.

The Same LG Score.

The four club or area markers fly 619.038, 495.865, 497.213 and 525.285 km, at respective velocities of 1,750.385, 1,402.103, 1,001.388 and 850.488 metres per minute, under different wind conditions.

LG compares each loft’s first four pigeons against their own club or area marker, measuring their average distance lost per hour of the marker’s net flying time.

Despite these differences, a loft in every club or area can score 0.095 KLPHF—an average loss of just 95 metres per flying hour.

The club or area marker sets the benchmark. KLPHF makes the performances comparable. Lower is better.
